Statue of Saint Bartholomew
The representation of the Apostle Saint Bartholomew brandishes in his right hand a knife (the instrument of his martyrdom) and holds a closed book in his left hand. Located on the north-west corner of the spire base, this copper statue was designed by Eugene Viollet-le-Duc, sculpted by Adolphe Victor Geoffroy-Dechaume and produced by the Alteliers Monduit in 1861.
