Statue of Saint James the Younger
The representation of the Apostle Saint James the Younger holds a closed book in his left hand and a fuller's staff (the instrument of his martyrdom) in his right hand. Located on the north-west corner of the spire base, this copper statue was designed by Eugene Viollet-le-Duc, sculpted by Adolphe Victor Geoffroy-Dechaume and produced by the Alteliers Monduit in 1861.
